This is what I affectionately call my Bastard Sword. It was made entirely by hand except for a cordless drill and has a full tang. Despite my earlier statement about making a battle axe, due to complications in finding the right size wood, I made this instead. I didn’t have any particular plan for this sword as it was mainly to try out other aspects of sword making (like a double edge, fuller, pommel, etc.). Because of that this sword doesn’t have any particular type or classification and is just something I made up as I went. It’s still quite rough and sometime in the future I plan to remake it but for now I’m happy with how it turned out in view of the fact that I have never made a sword like this before.

I think the whole blade should be the width of the part near the hilt.
